Hormone Health Pt 2
Our small intestine is made up of little finger like Villi. It’s whole goal is to help absorb nutrients. So when we have a bunch of bacteria that is slipping in between these little fingers through a highly processed and sugary diet, then we’re unable to absorb key nutrients. See the problem there?
This is important because food and our lifestyle is literally how we survive.
When we have a chronic state of stress and bacteria in our gut, it can lead to soooo many health factors such as, (and not limited to) IBS, anxiety, depression, type2 diabetes, PCOS, high blood pressure, etc.. All in which can be managed by taking control of our gut health.
An easy place to start is paying attention to the good bacteria we see in probiotic and prebiotic dense foods
(Prebiotic rich foods (high in fiber) https://drive.google.com/file/d/1FrQze7wPAL3JRkXJ3ybfxWQNpFaI_SA4/view?usp=sharing
The goal is to get 25g for women and children and man aim for 30g. One of my mentors shared a cool idea one time on how her and her family liked to do this. She said she tried to incorporate 30 different plant foods into their week. Thats about 3-4 a day or 1-2 a meal. That’s really not too shabby! Have your kids help and it’ll be motivating for everyone!
**It can be difficult to hit our fiber and omega complex goals getting started.
(That’s where supplementing them can help catch up.)
