And people wonder why the scale isn’t budging.
It’s because there’s so much more to the equation! If you feel like carbs are what’s making your gain weight, then lets take a look at your hormones and see where the real damage control needs to come from. Food is our source of fuel, so if we’re eliminating it and trying to function like we’re supposed to, it’s not going to happen. However, a lot of us, if you’re like me, had to play trial and error with what works.
When our hormones and adrenals are in bad shape, no matter how much you exercise or eat the chicken and veggies, chances are your body is going to maintain its super inflamed state and hold onto that stubborn weight.
Our nutrition journey can’t just focus on the foods we’re eating. In fact it’s only 20% of the wheel that establishes long term success. We still have sleep, support system, activity and stress that account for JUST as much.
Learning how to get your body back down to a normal functional state where cortisol is under control, is THE game changer in the goals you’re setting for yourself.
It takes time, but most importantly consistency.
