Easy Snack Ideas
Snacks can get a bad rep because many of us believe that in order to lose weight, we need to eat less. However, there are so many benefits to incorporating balanced snacks in your day!
- Balanced Blood Sugar Levels
- Curve Sugar Cravings
- Aid in Hormone Balance
- Boost Metabolism
Snacks are awesome, especially between lunch and dinner.
And I say that because if you’re like me, if I go a while without eating after lunch, I tend to realize that later in the afternoon, even after dinner, and want to go raid the pantry for something sweet or salty.
Well, when we can understand our body and what it needs, we can prevent these late afternoon cravings altogether.
Now, there are many reasons we can get “snacky” in the afternoons, but one of the many areas we can help tackle this, is by adding a small balanced snack a couple hours after lunch/ a couple hours before dinner.
A couple of my Balanced On the Go Snack ideas are:
2 Boiled Eggs + Piece of Fruit Beef Jerky + Greek Yogurt With Berries
Rice Cake + 1 tbl Peanut Butter + Greek Yogurt
Deli Meat + Pickles + Piece of Fruit
Greek Yogurt + Banana + 1tbl Walnuts or Cashews
