How I’m Really Feeling About My Plant-Based Journey So Far…

The best diet for you is the one that supports your lifestyle, incorporates more Whole Foods, less sugary foods, and doesn’t feel like a diet!


 

Here’s a quick summary of my personal plant-based journey before jumping into the details -

Starting May 1st - October 1st

Starting weight 176

Ending weight 156.5

Here’s the thing - I didn’t diet. I only swapped out a few things and adjusted my meals to be more plant-based! I tracked my analytics every two weeks with the Inbody scan to asses my muscle retention and weight loss.

What I did notice:

  • better sleep, QUALITY SLEEP

  • no bloating

  • fewer sugar cravings

  • a new sense of balance with my foods!

I LOST 20lbs in 5 Months by eliminating processed foods and meats, controlling my sugar intake, and adding more fruits, veggies, and legumes to my day.

This isn’t to say that going plant-based is the answer for everyone, but consistency is definitely a one-size-all “diet” that everyone can benefit from! Personally, I’m extremely excited to continue this journey and to keep reaping the benefits of this plant-based way of eating. When we learn what our body is needing and what it is telling us, we can understand and start to learn how to fuel our body best. Oftentimes, the progress that sticks isn’t necessarily the fastest - It takes time to relearn eating habits and establish a new routine.

I wanted to share my progress because not only do I, and our STN coaches lead the lifestyle, but we walk the walk and know how to help you understand your body and goals more too. We help you understand the importance of Progress > perfection and how that will help your results last!
