Desk-Friendly Exercises for Lower Back Health
by: Mari Ferrel
AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — On Today in Amarillo, McKinley Brockman from Rebuilt Life Coaching demonstrated a few exercises to alleviate back discomfort and improve posture.
Brockman said sitting at desks all day can lead to lower back pain. The three simple exercises include:
Cat-Cow Pose
Side to Side Knee Rotations
Child’s Pose
Brockman explained the cat-cow pose helps to mobilize the spine and improve flexibility. The side-to-side knee rotations help improve spinal mobility and stretch the lower back muscles. The child’s pose stretches the lower back, hips, and thighs. Brockman said the child’s pose will provide relief from tension.
