3 Reasons you’re maintaining weight…

I see it all the time. A look that only the scale can bring. A look of really trying to better yourself for the week only to see it hasnt even moved a pound. A SINGLE POUND after eating “clean” all week and going to the gym. So, like, whats the deal, right?

I get it, too. The scale used to dictate what I would eat in the day, how good or bad I was doing. As a 120lb long distance runner, my weight was very much something I thought about every single day.
However, I am going to break the news to you. News I had to learn the hard way and learn to trust through my own personal journey, but also through each and every one of my clients journey, too.
If I could go back and tell my younger self these three things, from someone I knew that was giving me the real real and not just some cliche advice, it would be this:

  1. Prioritize Water in your day, every single day. Rain or shine, weekday or weekend. Water is as essential as your cell phone.

  2. Veggies should be a part of at least 2 main meals each day. That important, yes. Start with 1-2 handfuls as part of lunch and dinner.

  3. You can maintain progress with portion control & balance. The beauty of a lifestyle that has balance. and its possible.

Nutrition wasnt supposed to be super difficult, but over time we’ve made it that way. What we’re doing today is going to be a reflection of who we are 10 years down the road. Who are you manifesting? Change starts today. Its time we dont let our food control us, but we have control over our food.
Find victory in your consistency in bettering yourself and ditch the scale.
