The Amount of Carbs in Poptart's vs Oatmeal

I’m a weirdo and relate everything to a serving size of oatmeal. For example, if I have a brownie, that’s 450 calories and 75g carbs. That would be equivalent to me munching on 6 cups cooked oatmeal. I would never do that! lol

The reason a lot of us get sugar cravings or withdrawal is because we’re eating junk carbohydrates and it’s spiking our blood sugar and cortisol. If we have whole foods like fruit or potatoes (with a protein) then you’re eating significantly less calories AND getting nutrients from the food you’re spending money on.

Carbs in 1 package pop tarts is =
4.5 medium size banana 🍌
2 cups cooked oatmeal
4 pieces of toast
3 medium apples
4.5 cups berries
I became a master at math when I was struggling with anorexia because of constantly comparing macros and labels like this. But for real, it puts it into perspective, right?!
